Travel market is much like the Dow...up and down.  This hotel’s profits are up while that one is not doing as well.  Cruise vacations are up flying to destinations down.  I looked at the Dow today and it is still hovering just below the 10,000 mark which is decent really, but layoffs are still looming which affects the vacation plans of many. 

 

So why is it that I’m personally noticing an increase in sales?  Well, I can’t be inside everyone’s head to know exactly what we all think and feel, but the general response that I get is that people are just tired of being tired and scared; and things seem to be looking up; so it’s time to take that vacation so that they can forget about all the hype being thrown at them every day by the media. 

 

The best way to do that?  Well they are finding out that cruising is much easier on the pocketbook.  With all the cash back and onboard credit offers and deals like Early Saver Fares and Best Price Guarantees why wouldn’t you plan a cruise vacation?  And the food is included! :)

 

I wouldn’t wait though, there’s already mention of prices going back up so I’d grab one of theses deals right now for next summer’s vacation.  By then the price will have gone up but you have the better deal locked in place.  Last Minute deals are pretty much a thing of the past.
