Man I'm Hungry - Cruise Food
Published Saturday, April 21st 2007 - Updated Thursday, December 13th 2007The last cruise we took we got put at a large table and only one other couple showed up, so we had plenty of elbow room. Every time the menu would come, EVERYTHING on the menu looked good, no joke. It was like curried lamb, chilled pear soup, fillet mignon, lobster, baked rosemary chicken in some exotic sauce, baked Alaska, everything. We usually just ordered 2-3 of each catagory and shared. On the last night of the cruise the menu was too hard to resist, and the waiter overheard us ooooing and ahhhhing over it. We did our usual ordering routine on the dinner portion and it came to the deserts. He said, don't order I will take care of you. He set down our after dinner drink of choice (the he remembered since the first night!) and walked away. About 10 minutes later he brought us one of everything on the desert menu. HAA, we were already stuffed, but we dug in and did the best we could, It was great to not feel like we had to hold back, so if you are on a cruise DON'T hold back. If you want more, or want something different, or want more than one thing, just ask and it is yours.
So the answer is YES food is included... and it is very good food. You know when escargot is on the menu that you are eating gourmet food, 'cause you can't order that at Applebees. I tried, and the waiter said "bless you", I guess he thought I sneezed.
That's it, have a great weekend! Blog at you later!
