Experience Azamara Club Cruises

Recently I had a chance to tour an Azamara Club Cruises ship - the Azamara Journey. What an incredible opportunity! I wanted to take a few minutes to give you some information on this Deluxe Cruise Line.
A bit of history on the name Azamara as provided by the cruise line: "You may be wondering where the name Azamara comes from. Azamara is a coined term derived from the Romance languages. This includes the more obvious links to blue (az) and the sea (mar). The name was also inspired by a star, Acamar. In classical times, the star Acamar was the most southerly bright star that could be seen from the latitude of Greece. We think of Azamara Club Cruises as a star on the blue sea. We love the flowing name that conjures up the imagery of magnificent journeys around the world. And we look forward to sharing these voyages with our guests."
Azamara (now called Azamara Club Cruises) is a Deluxe line. What does that mean? Well here's how I would classify Deluxe: Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, Costa, MSC & Norwegian cruise lines would be your first-class or "mass-market" cruise lines; Celebrity, Holland America, Oceania & Princess would be considered "Premium" lines. Azamara is positioned above premium and just under luxury.
There are only two ships in this new line's fleet, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. They are very intimate ships accommodating only 694 guests each. The smaller size of these ships allows Azamara Club Cruises to take you to more exotic destinations that the larger cruise ships cannot get to.The ships used to start Azamara Club Cruses came from the now-defunct Renaissance Cruise line. The ships underwent nearly $20 million revitalization mostly to the staterooms. Some of the ships original interior architecture was left alone as it was simply elegant and fabulous!
93% of the staterooms offer ocean vies and 68% have private balconies.
Since the re-branding of the line, many new inclusive amenities have been added: longer stays & more overnights at destinations; concierge services, butler service is provided for every Suite; Suite guests enjoy included dinners at specialty restaurants; red and white wines are included at lunch and dinner; bottled water, soft drings, coffees and teas are complimentary at all times - including specialty coffees and teas; gratuities for cabin stewards and dining staff included in the cruise fare; fitness centers are available for your use; and pilates, spinning, and sunrise yoga classes at sea are complimentary as well.
Smoking policy: There is only ONE location on board where smoking is allowed and that is one side of the ship on the pool deck. NO SMOKING is allowed on balconies.
Attire: There are no formal nights onboard Azamara Club Cruises. Imagine yourself in a country club at sea - country club resort casual is the theme for your journey.
The price may be a little bit more than what you are used to, but look at everything that is included! Don't you think you are worth it?
