Saturday

Today finds us back in Seattle.  With chose the “Easy Walk Off Dismbarkation” so we kept all our bags in our room Friday night.  Spent the morning packing (since we were up at 5AM with the sun!) and when the ship was cleared, we walked right off the ship.  It was all so very easy.

NCL agents could not tell me before our trip if the cruise line offered an easy walk off disembarkation or not, so we planned to spend the night in Seattle just in case.  I was happy with this.  An extra day to just relax and feel better before flying home.  We spent the day in the hotel room (same hotel as the pre-cruise stay) and I napped most of the day. 

Sunday

Up early to head to the airport.  The entire day is spent in airports or on planes.  Finally we made it back to our humble abode.

REVIEW

Ship & Accommodations

The ship was pleasing to the eye.  We did not like the fact that almost all the venues were a cut through to somewhere else.  There was only one real night-club.  At least it was large enough.  The room was a standard cruise ship room with just enough room to squeeze through.

Food

We were not pleased with the food experience.  What exactly was all that “stuff” on the buffet?  The children’s buffet looked better!  They had hot dogs, egg rolls, mac n cheese…  The food in the main dining halls was sub-Applebees at best. 

Overall Experience

Meh.  Not thrilled.  Not sure I would go on another NCL cruise again.  I would prefer to pay slightly more and have the food meet my expectations.  If I have to pay extra for it, I’m not really willing to do so.  Joel and I also prefer to have the scheduled dining time.  We like the service we get from the wait staff.  We like that they will have our drinks waiting for us rather than us having to track down someone to bring us our sodas.

Sodas – I’m Coke, not Pepsi.  NCL is Pepsi.  Bought the soda card anyway but not sure we got our money’s worth.

Our cabin stewards were very pleasant and helpful and were always around.  I felt that should I need something, I’d have no problem finding them to have it taken care of.

This cruise did not meet my expectations.
